Abstract

The paper is devoted to the changes in understanding of university mission in the context of establishing of global educational space. The author argued a kind of reorientation of university mission toward research and іnternationalization, based on optimal model of university, which is underlined by leading international university rankings of the first wave - ARWU and QS. Ranking U-Multirank, which was recently established, represents an attempt to overcome this asymmetry.
