Abstract
The Canadian university education is observed and compared to the Ukrainian higher education. It has been determined that on an average the Canadian universities are large concentrated institutions oriented to implementation of research and innovative activities. The majority of them (20-24%) is included in the lists of top-level universities in leading international rankings “TIMES” (THE World University Ranking) and “Shanghai” (The Academic Ranking of World Universities. Shanghai Jiao Tong University in China). The synergetic effect on massive increasing personal research efficiency of faculty when their number is growing in the Canadian system of universities is specified. Experience of organizing, functioning, development of the Canadian universities’ network can serve as an example for reforming of higher education in Ukraine.
