Abstract
The article deals with: the problems of technique training of the MIA law schools students in the process of their readiness to act in extreme conditions; Horting as representative of a new kind of complex mixed martial arts in the world. The topicality of the study is determined by the changes in social and political life and the importance of ensuring the survival of law enforcement agencies in extreme conditions. Summarizing the different interpretations there has been stated the meaning of „technique of self-defense“, as a set of techniques and holds that ensure the effective solution of a motor task to preserve the life and health during a physical attack and neutralise any threat. Attention is drawn to similar meanings: sport technique (self-defense), and technical competence (readiness) of a sportsman (fighter). Research material lays groundwork for further studies to determine the technical requirements for actions in extreme conditions.
