Abstract
The 8th issue of biobibliographical index within the series “Prominent Teachers of the World” is dedicated to S. Kh. Chavdarov, who is Ukrainian scientist, teacher, specialist in didactics, methodologist in primary and high education, corresponding member of APS of RSFSR, Honoured Scientist of USSR, teacher of Ukrainian and Russian languages in Kyiv region schools, teacher of pedagogics, history of pedagogics, methodology of Ukrainian and Russian languages in Kyiv State University named after T. Shevchenko, director of the Ukrainian Research Institute of Pedagogics (URIP), author of more than 200 scientific works, including works in history of pedagogical idea in Ukraine, textbooks in pedagogics, methodical manuals and textbooks in Ukrainian language for primary and high schools. Bibliography of S. Kh. Chavdarov’s works and researches about his life and activity published during 1927–2012 (507 bibliographic records) is represented in this index. The index is addressed to the scientists, doctoral candidates, graduate students, teachers of higher education establishments, students and those, who are interested in S. Kh. Chavdarov’s scientific and pedagogical heritage.
