Abstract
The theoretical and methodical principles of preparation of the senior pupils of boarding-schools to independent life are exposed; the essence of readiness of senior pupils of boarding-schools to independent life is specified as an integral personality uality which testifies the maturity of stable personal features as pre-conditions for successful self-realization in life. The specific features of preparation of senior pupils of boarding-schools to independent life are ascertained: specific of the contingent; social orphanage, the features of organization of the pupils’ vital functioning: a lot of measures, the consequences of which is orientation on total control of the pupils’ conduct by teachers, lack of individual approach; insufficient possibilities for forming the social responsibility of pupils; limited social space; features of early youth age, etc. The components of readiness of senior pupils of boarding-schools to independent life are revealed: cognitive, emotionally-valued, conduct-active. The criteria (knowledge from different spheres of vital functioning; value orientations; application of knowledge, abilities and skills in new conditions, in various vital situations), indexes of readiness of senior pupils of boarding-schools to independent life; pedagogical terms (preparatory work with teachers of boarding-school establishments on this issue; purposeful preparation of senior pupils of boarding-schools to master the social roles: a citizen, a family man / woman, a specialist; organization of social-cultural activity, directed at forming a social experience; pedagogical support of senior pupils of boarding-schools; forms and methods of pedagogical activity have been identified.
