Abstract
The Institute of Problems on Education of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine (9 Berlynskoho Str., Kyiv, Ukraine). The educational environment of the boarding school accumulates the most difficult problems of psychological and social formation of youth. In the article, the peculiarities of adolescents and the specificity of boarding school and its student contingent are considered. The components of boarding school senior students’ family life values formation are defined: cognitive, emotional and value, behavioral and active ones. Depending on the degree of manifestation of knowledge, motivation and skills, the three levels of readiness of boarding schoolboys to the role of family man are described: high, medium, low. In the process of the research it was revealed that 56,4 % of all the schoolboys are oriented to create a family. 39,2 % of the students had other priorities: studying, future profession, the wish «to live for oneself» etc. The orientation to forming a family testifies the value attitude to future family relationships. Unfortunately, due to the absence of positive experience of family life, children-orphans idealize their future family.
