Abstract

The paper highlights the ethical and moral aspects as regards preparing students to select and make their professional career as a modern skilled worker’s professional career is characterized by focused and systematic development of his personality in accordance with moral categories in which moral principles, norms, attitudes, evaluation, rules of conduct at a workplace are expressed. It is characterized by social and personal growth, personal approach to a profound process of professionalism, formation of professional liability, professional preferences, objectives, etc. Criteria and indicators of adolescents moral readiness to selecting the profession are given an account of, the definition and essence of terminological word combination “ethical and moral aspects of preparing students to select and make their professional career are clarified”, the ways of working with pupils on the development of ethical and moral character of students in educational and extracurricular activities are given. The author concludes that formation of ethical and moral aspects of preparing pupils to choosing and making a professional career is a long multidimensional process of personal development aimed at self-improvement and successful self-realization in future professional performance including pupils’ formation of ethical attitudes and values orientations that determine a system of norms and values, control future professional activity, moral and ethical attitude to the tasks of the profession, labor discipline; formation of social responsibility, moral consciousness, integrity, dignity, honor, and other important moral categories necessary for successful selection and implementation of a professional career.
