Abstract
This paper considers the problem of education of life-meaningful values in schoolchildren of basic and high school based on philosophical and psychological research.The main attention is paid to understanding of the meaning of life and life meaning ful values by representatives of different philosophical and psychological research schools and currents (irrationalism, existentialism, phenomenology, personalism,intuitionalism, neo-Freudianism, neo-Kantianism, anthropocentrism), which is an important philosophical and psychological background in education of life-meaningful values of a personality.Most philosophers and psychologists agree with the idea that life-meaningful values are: freedom, love, dignity, truth, and justice, goodness, which determine the value and attractiveness of life for everyone. Simultaneously, the uncertainty of life-meaningful values or their destruction can lead to life crisis, deep depression, with unpredictable consequences for theyoung person.
