Abstract

The article considers creative work of outstanding teacher and psychologist of XIXth century Kostiantyn Ushynsky. Having analyzed historical and pedagogical literature the author highlights the contribution of scientist to the development of pedagogical methodology and educational questions. The author gives a comparative analysis of pedagogical ideas of Kostiantyn Ushynsky and classicists of world pedagogics such as J. A. Comenius, J.–J. Rousseau, J. Pestalozzi, A. Disterveg and others.
