Abstract

The paper analyzes the destructive impact of the full-scale military invasion by the Russian Federation on the higher education system of Ukraine and identifies key challenges facing the educational process under martial law. It examines factors such as threats to the life and health of participants in the educational process, destruction of educational infrastructure, mass internal and external displacement of students and academic personnel, disruption of learning continuity, occupation-related risks, and reduced state funding. The necessity of maintaining a human-centered approach in educational transformation as a foundation for the post-war reconstruction of the state is substantiated. Given the security risks, economic difficulties, and infrastructural challenges, the imperative for further development of distance and digital learning formats is proven. Special emphasis is placed on the growing role of media literacy, information security, and the establishment of specialized information centers to counter ongoing information aggression.
