Abstract

The article reveals the theoretical foundations of the functioning of video tools as a component of digital educational technologies and defines their role in shaping the modern learning environment. Based on the analysis of scientific works by Ukrainian and foreign researchers, the classification of digital educational tools has been refined and detailed in terms of video technologies. Six groups of video tools are systematized and characterized: video hosting; video recording and editing tools; animation creation tools; visual programming tools; augmented and virtual reality tools; video lesson creation tools. Particular attention is paid to the pedagogical possibilities of video lessons and podcasts, which, according to the works of G. Shevchenko, N. Franchuk, R. Franchuk, and T. Shcherbatyuk, play a key role in distance and blended learning, ensuring the formation of information culture and support for the academic community. The article substantiates the conditions for the effective use of various types of video tools in the process of visualizing educational content, developing media literacy, algorithmic thinking, and ensuring a personalized educational trajectory. It has been established that the development of digital library services and the creation of visualized educational and instructional materials contribute to increasing the level of information literacy, expanding access to scientific information and improving scientific communication skills. It has been proven that video tools enhance multimodality of learning, contribute to the development of communicative, digital and collaborative skills, ensure the scalability of the digital educational environment and support for synchronous and asynchronous forms. Attention is focused on the increase in demand for video lessons, which demonstrates their effectiveness and compliance with current educational needs. It is concluded that video tools play a key role in shaping the modern educational environment, ensuring diversity, interactivity and openness of educational content, as well as contributing to the development of digital competencies in conditions of dynamic educational transformations.
