Abstract
This article examines the educational potential of modern AI platforms in the training of future specialists in international relations within the «ICT in analytical work» course. It demonstrates the value of integrating generative and analytical AI tools into the «Innovative Approaches to the Use of AI Tools» module. The pedagogical design of a series of laboratory sessions is presented, which involved the use of AI services for analysing information narratives, data visualisation, working with legal case studies, and developing a collaborative AI project. A set of complementary methods was applied to carry out the research, in particular theoretical methods – to analyse and summarise academic sources on the use of AI in education; the pedagogical design method – to develop the structure and content of the teaching module; empirical methods – to observe students’ learning activities, conduct surveys and analyse the results of laboratory work; and statistical methods – to process the data obtained, specifically to determine mean values, standard deviation and the percentage distribution of responses. Students specialising in C3 «International Relations» within the «Public Communications» educational programme took part in the experiment. The results of implementing the module demonstrated an improvement in students’ ability to analyse information in a structured manner, interpret international data critically, present well-reasoned conclusions, and create interactive analytical products. The survey revealed an increased awareness of the opportunities and risks associated with the use of AI, the development of skills in the responsible use of digital tools, and a greater motivation to engage in analytical activities. The practical significance of the study lies in the development and testing of a pedagogical design for integrating AI tools into the training of international specialists, which can be adapted for other social sciences and humanities programmes.
