Abstract

The paper examines priorities for developing digital competence among primary school teachers and preschool educators, drawing on Ukraine's 2026 model professional development programme. It considers the adoption and responsible use of emerging technologies, including generative artificial intelligence, alongside digital safety, accessibility and inclusion. The importance of age-appropriate practices and a balance between digital and non-digital activities is emphasized.
