Abstract

The theses highlight the contribution of Mykola Dmytrovych Yarmachenko to the development of the Institute of Pedagogy of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and the formation of Ukrainian pedagogical science. His scientific and pedagogical, organizational and managerial activities, his role in the development of special education, historical and pedagogical research and the training of scientific personnel are analyzed. The significance of the scientist's activities for the formation of the modern scientific and educational space of Ukraine is revealed.
