Abstract
This article provides a theoretical justification for the paradigm of adult education as an effective mechanism for preserving the national identity of Ukrainians in the context of globalisation, migration and digital transformation. It analyses the essence of national identity as a multidimensional socio-cultural phenomenon, shaped by language, historical memory, culture, values and traditions, and which takes on particular significance in the context of military challenges and social instability. The role of adult education in the processes of fostering national consciousness, supporting culture and developing civic responsibility is substantiated. Key instruments through which adult education influences the preservation of identity are identified, including cultural and educational programmes, language courses, media literacy, digital educational platforms, online communities and initiatives of the Ukrainian diaspora. The influence of the digital environment is outlined, which expands access to educational resources and promotes the consolidation of communities, whilst highlighting the risks of identity erosion and informational influence. It has been established that the integration of digital technologies into adult education ensures the reproduction and promotion of Ukrainian culture through the creation of digital content, which strengthens the national identity of Ukrainians abroad and contributes to its preservation, adaptability and transmission in a globalised world. The main barriers and threats to national identity have been identified, including adaptation processes, language issues and the fragmentation of the cultural space. It has been demonstrated that adult education plays a strategic role in preserving the national identity of Ukrainians.
