Abstract

The article theoretically substantiates a set of pedagogical conditions and systematizes an effective methodical toolkit for forming the active civic position of high school students in the digital space. It is proven that the digitalization of society transforms the youth socialization environment, creating new opportunities for civic participation while simultaneously giving rise to risks such as the spread of disinformation, manipulative influences, and cyberbullying. The essence of the concept “active civic position of a high school student in the digital space” is clarified as an integrated personal quality manifested in awareness of social responsibility, the ability to critically evaluate information, and the capacity to implement civic initiatives in the online environment. Its structural components – valuemotivational, cognitive, activity-practical, and reflective – are formulated and detailed. The system of pedagogical conditions ensuring the effectiveness of the specified process is substantiated: creation of a value-oriented digital educational environment; integration of civic education with digital and media education; application of interactive and action-oriented pedagogical technologies; development of critical thinking and information security skills; pedagogical support for involving students in digital civic practices; and enhancement of teachers’ digital competence. Furthermore, methodical tools for implementing the outlined conditions are examined, including the use of educational online platforms, project-based learning, conducting online debates and case methods, developing student media projects, implementing electronic school self-government, and utilizing the potential of social networks for civic education. The proposed approaches contribute to forming the active civic position of high school students within the digital space. The practical significance of the research lies in the fact that its materials can be used by educators and researchers when organizing educational work and in the process of forming the active civic position of high school students.
