Abstract

This section of the monograph analyzes the ethical aspects of using artificial intelligence technologies to combat economic corruption and ensure the protection of human rights, addressing the issue of a human-centric approach to AI in anti-corruption efforts. To provide a comprehensive overview of the subject, the section also examines technical aspects of generative AI models and presents specific examples to analyze current trends and the technology's future potential within both the European and Ukrainian economic spheres. Furthermore, the co-authors maintain that, given Ukraine’s increasing integration into the European legal framework, the discussed prospects for using AI to combat corruption remain relevant for all Council of Europe member states. This section was produced as part of the research project "Development of Tools for Smart City Infrastructure Growth Amidst the Challenges of War and Post-War Recovery in Ukraine" (State-funded project No. 25BP013-01M, Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine; state registration number 0125U001221).
