Abstract

The guide presents the principles of developing technological competence in students in Grades 5–9 during Technology lessons within a digital educational environment. It outlines the structure of technological competence, age-appropriate differentiation of learning tasks, and the requirements for creating a safe, motivating, and inclusive educational environment. The guide describes a methodology for organizing the full cycle of project-based technological activity — from identifying a problem and developing an initial concept to producing, presenting, evaluating, and improving the final product. Particular attention is given to the use of digital resources for information retrieval, sketching, modelling, planning, maintaining an electronic portfolio, and the responsible use of artificial intelligence. Criteria, indicators, and tools for formative assessment are proposed, along with practical tasks and methodological recommendations. Special emphasis is placed on the rational use of resources, the reuse of materials, product repairability, and the consideration of environmental, economic, and social aspects of project activities in the context of sustainable development. This manual is intended for Technology teachers, methodologists, educators within the postgraduate education system, and lecturers and students in pedagogical fields.
