Abstract
The active integration of artificial intelligence into educational practice is reshaping the requirements for the teaching profession. Generative technologies expand educators' capabilities in creating learning materials and tasks, adapting educational content to student needs, conducting formative assessment, providing feedback, and supporting professional development. At the same time, their use requires teachers to acquire new knowledge across digital, pedagogical, ethical, and legal domains—knowledge essential for the responsible and pedagogically sound application of AI technologies. Consequently, a teacher's digital competence is increasingly viewed not merely as the ability to use digital tools, but as the capacity to understand their capabilities and limitations, critically evaluate their outputs, and apply these technologies appropriately in alignment with pedagogical goals.
