Abstract

The monograph presents the theoretical, methodological, and practical foundations for the use of digital content in fostering the environmental worldview of children and young people in the context of the digitalisation of education. It provides an analysis of the regulatory and legal framework governing environmental education and digital pedagogy, examines the essence, structure, and functions of the environmental worldview, and synthesises Ukrainian and international experience in the application of digital content within the educational process. The monograph also presents the findings of a study on the value orientations and educational preferences of children and young people regarding the use of digital environmental content. Theoretical and methodological approaches to the development of environmentally oriented digital content are substantiated, the specific features of its integration into the educational environment are identified, and the author's methodology for designing environmental education digital products is introduced. Particular attention is devoted to analysing the educational potential of digital platforms, multimedia technologies, educational chatbots, mobile applications, digital games, and gamification tools in fostering the environmental awareness of learners. The monograph is intended for researchers, educators, university lecturers, doctoral and postgraduate students, curriculum developers, and all those interested in environmental education, digital pedagogy, and the development of the environmental worldview of the younger generation.
