Abstract

The monograph, based on a system-structural analysis, examines the psychological features of the management process in secondary education institutions (content, structure, main components). The specifics of management in the secondary education system are revealed in comparison with management in other social spheres (business, production, etc.). The system for forming the psychological readiness of heads of secondary education institutions for management is presented. The need for development and the main tasks of practical psychology of management of secondary education institutions are substantiated. The role of psychological services of educational institutions in providing psychological assistance to managers is shown. For heads of secondary education institutions (principals of schools, gymnasiums, lyceums; employees of district (city) and regional departments (departments) of education; psychologists working in the secondary education system; teachers of universities and institutes of postgraduate education, pedagogical workers; scientists who study psychological problems of management in education.
