Abstract
The article is devoted to the socio-psychological analysis of the values of war in the context of the perception of modern war by Ukrainian students. The specifics of the formation of value orientations in war conditions, the correlation of the ideals of peace and the justification of the need to protect the state are revealed. Special attention is paid to the cognitive component consciousness as a leading element in the structure adaptation resources of adolescents to the results of research using the BASIC Ph method by M. Lahad. The dominance of the cognitive component contributes to the reflexive understanding of war, the formation of responsible citizenship and moral maturity.
