Abstract
It is proposed that the improvement of flexible educational programmes, including supplementary education programmes for children and young people, be achieved through the implementation of the following mechanisms: the establishment, within general education institutions and organisations providing general and supplementary education, of computer-based methodological systems for inquiry-based learning and the development of technological competences; organising centres for intellectual development and scientific and technical creativity for children and young people within general education institutions and organisations providing general and supplementary education; supporting the activities of school research communities; creating specialised environments that foster development and creativity for children, adolescents and young people; the creation of a system for assessing the professional preparation of university applicants according to proficiency levels; the organisation of themed leisure activities for children, adolescents and young people; the organisation of project-based and research activities for pupils, taking into account best practices; the utilisation of the potential of public, private and social partnerships in the implementation of supplementary and flexible educational programmes. The study analyses the didactic aspects of using AI-based COMSRL components in the process of inquiry-based learning; it examines the structure of the appropriateness and effectiveness of using information resources in the learning process; and it analyses models, levels and methods of adaptation in the process of inquiry-based learning in the context of using AI information resources for the professional development of teachers, as well as the relevant factors and indicators of influence. The aim of the study is to identify the didactic potential of variable COMSRL models in the context of the appropriate and actual use of information resources and AI in the educational environment during the process of inquiry-based learning in natural science and mathematics subjects. To achieve the research objectives, the ‘Clever: School of Natural and Mathematical Sciences’ experimental platforms are utilised. It has been established that there is a need to select AI information resources to enhance children’s motivation and level of intellectual development, which leads to improved effectiveness in the teaching of natural science and mathematics subjects.
