Abstract
The article analyzes the evolution of views on socio-humanitarian knowledge and substantiates its strategic importance for developing an individual's worldview, ethical, legal, and social competencies amidst geopolitical instability and war in Ukraine. The essence of "socio-humanitarian education" is defined as an integrated system of humanities and social sciences. The study traces the transformation of methodological approaches—from the rationalism versus empiricism debate in the Modern Era to methodological pluralism and interdisciplinarity in the 20th and 21st centuries. A distinction is made between the socio-humanitarian (integrative) and socio-humanistic (human-centered) dimensions of education. Addressing the current "crisis of the humanities," the author demonstrates that high-quality socio-humanitarian knowledge serves as a critical tool for counteracting hostile propaganda, reintegrating de-occupied territories, and accelerating Ukraine's post-war recovery.
