Abstract

The development of the Ukrainian language and Ukrainian linguodidactics is inseparably connected with the political context, Ukraine’s statehood and agency, the country's language situation, and the evolving humanitarian and language policies pursued at different stages of national development. A comprehensive analysis of these dynamics makes it possible to identify the prerequisites for the establishment of linguodidactics as an independent field, the shaping of the content of Ukrainian language education, and the emergence of new opportunities for modernizing its curriculum. The renewed educational content is expected not only to enable students to acquire up-to-date knowledge of the Ukrainian language but also to develop their ability to apply this knowledge in authentic communicative and social contexts. It contributes to the development of the key competence of proficiency in the state language, fosters critical, systemic, and innovative thinking, and supports learners in becoming active participants in the contemporary information environment and co-creators of Ukraine’s future.
