Abstract
This chapter examines the theoretical and methodological foundations for the use of digital content in shaping the environmental worldview of learners in the context of the digital transformation of the educa-tional environment. The essence of an ecological worldview is defined as an integrative personal formation that combines ecological knowledge, value orientations, beliefs and models of responsible behaviour in interaction with the environment. The role of digital content and interactive educational resources as an effective tool for increasing motivation, stimulating cognitive activity and enhancing the practical focus of environmental education is substantiated. The current experience of foreign and Ukrainian researchers regarding the creation and implementa-tion of digital content in the educational process has been analysed. Approaches, principles, methods and pedagogical conditions for the development of digital environmental content have been outlined, taking into account the needs of modern learners and the specifics of the digital educational environment. Based on the results of a survey of Ukrainian students, the study identifies the characteristics of their perception of digital learning materials, their interest in interactive and game-based forms of presenting environmental information, as well as the uneven implementation of digital environmental content in the educational process. The need to create high-quality methodological, organisational and informational support for the effective use of digital resources in shaping young people’s environmental outlook is em-phasised. A methodological framework has been developed for the use of multimedia resources in the process of shaping students’ environmental outlook, which involves the use of educational programmes, multimedia presentations, video and audio conferences, assessment technologies and digital interactive resources. It has been demonstrated that the use of multimedia technologies contributes to improving the quality of the educational process, the effective acquisition of knowledge and the development of environmentally responsible behaviour among students. The need to develop the digital competence of teachers and stu-dents has been identified as a key prerequisite for the successful implementation of digital environmental education practices.
