Abstract

The programme is aimed at updating, deepening and expanding the professional knowledge and skills of educational professionals in the field of psychological and pedagogical support for young children, as well as developing their ability to apply contemporary approaches, methods and technologies in accordance with children’s individual needs, the principles of child-centred education, and the requirements for creating a safe and developmentally supportive educational environment. The relevance of the programme is determined by the growing attention to early childhood development as a critical period for psychological development and the formation of a basic sense of security, as well as by the need to ensure high-quality psychological and pedagogical support in preschool education institutions under conditions of stress and social instability. The content of the programme is structured according to a modular approach and encompasses theoretical, practical and analytical components of the professional activities of preschool education practitioners. The programme is based on contemporary scientific understandings of early childhood development and addresses children’s adaptation to preschool settings, the organisation of educational activities aimed at supporting emotional well-being, attachment formation, language development and cognitive activity, ensuring conditions for the development of leading activities and interaction with peers and adults, as well as creating a safe and developmentally supportive environment.
