Abstract

The article presents a comparative analysis of international and Ukrainian approaches to implementing generative artificial intelligence in SMART complexes for vocational education. SMART complexes are considered integrated digital educational systems that combine learning resources, management tools, and educational analytics. The study highlights the role of generative AI in adaptive content creation, personalized learning, and automation of instructional support. The comparison is based on methodological, technological, didactic, ethical, and managerial criteria. The findings show that international approaches emphasize advanced AI integration, human-centered design, and flexible governance, whereas Ukrainian practices prioritize systematic implementation, pedagogical relevance, and regulatory compliance. The study argues that combining international experience with national educational traditions can enhance the effectiveness of AI integration in vocational education. Future priorities include harmonizing regulatory frameworks, developing prompt engineering as a component of digital competence, and improving teachers' readiness to apply generative AI technologies in educational practice.
