Abstract
The article examines the importance of teacher–parent partnership in teaching mathematics to high school students with intellectual disabilities. It argues that the effective development of mathematical competence in this group of learners requires coordinated cooperation between schools and families aimed at reinforcing practical mathematical skills in everyday life. The paper analyzes the psychological and pedagogical foundations of educational partnership and emphasizes the role of parents in supporting learning motivation, fostering independence, and facilitating the transfer of acquired mathematical knowledge to real-life situations. Effective forms of teacher–parent collaboration are described, including individual consultations, practical workshops, joint learning activities, the use of digital communication tools, and individualized educational pathways. The study concludes that systematic, individualized, and trust-based cooperation between teachers and parents enhances mathematics learning outcomes, promotes the acquisition of essential functional mathematical skills, and supports the successful social adaptation of students with intellectual disabilities.
