Abstract

The article examines the theoretical foundations of creating a virtual psychologically safe educational space for military training. The relevance of the study is driven by the intensive integration of VR technologies into combat training and psychological support of military personnel, which necessitates a re-evaluation of the didactic potential of virtual environments. The research substantiates the viability of using virtual reality as an effective tool for establishing a psychologically safe learning domain. The authors analyzed the current state of the VR industry and its specific applications in the military sphere, providing concrete examples of the practical implementation of these technologies within the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which proves the pedagogical effectiveness of immersive tools. The empirical basis of the study was formed by the results of surveys and focus group discussions. The analysis confirmed the positive attitude of military personnel toward VR technologies and their high level of digital openness, which substantiates the expediency of integrating immersive systems into the educational process. Specifically, discussions regarding the educational VR film 'First Battle' and mindfulness practices demonstrated the significant pedagogical effectiveness of immersive tools. At the same time, the study identified a need for structural content adaptation, increased interactivity, and the implementation of comprehensive methodological support with the mandatory involvement of psychologists. Based on the findings and the application of a Venn diagram, the authors have specified the essential characteristics of a virtual psychologically safe educational space. In accordance with the research objective, the authors present a model of a virtual psychologically safe educational space as an integrated component of the modern information and educational environment, specifically adapted to the requirements of psychological training for military personnel. The uniqueness of the approach is ensured by the integration of immersive VR technologies not merely as technical learning aids, but as a space for emotional self-regulation and safe modeling of combat stress.
