Abstract

This article explores the potential of AI tools for creating visual images. Specifically, this includes generating images in various visual styles, obtaining multiple versions of AI-generated images based on a submitted request, and the ability to download a selected image in high enough quality for posting on social media. The article assesses the integration of AI tools into student learning as an effective means of developing their creative and professional skills. The ability to use AI tools for visualization develops students' competencies needed in the labor market across various fields, and further integration of such skills into educational programs is strategically important for preparing students for modern challenges and opportunities. The article clarifies current AI tools for creating visual images and identifies the key characteristics of visual styles used in creating advertising characters. These styles include anthropomorphic, realistic, fantasy, and futuristic. Using the AI tool on the «Padlet» resource, the author created examples of visual images of advertising characters. Based on the analyzed sample (43 student works created using AI tools), we identified the specifics of students' use of AI tools to create visual images in advertising. Specifically, the dominant colors in AI-generated visual images were identified: «cool» colors such as blue, indigo, and green. Key visual elements in the student works were identified: clothing items, technological devices, and the symbolism of the selected brand. Particular attention was paid to the use of the characters' eyes as an element that aims to attract the audience's attention. To enhance their impact, these eyes are typically glowing and «cool» in color (blue, indigo, or green, often cyborg eyes). A similar visual image is glasses – futuristic, with a holographic display, symbolizing technology. Thus, the assessment of students' use of AI in creating visual images, conducted within the analyzed sample, allowed us to refine our understanding of the capabilities, limitations, and trends of AI application in image creation.
