Abstract
This paper reviews European practices in shaping educational policies regarding the use of generative AI by teachers in secondary education, based on an analysis of national recommendations from the education ministries of Austria, Italy, Germany, Portugal, and France (national level) and school policies from the websites of ten secondary schools in those countries (local level).
