Abstract
The article examines the role of emotional intelligence and empathy as essential socio-emotional competencies in the professional formation of future construction specialists. Drawing on leading international and Ukrainian theoretical models of emotional intelligence, the study emphasizes empathy as a core component of interpersonal communication and professional ethics. The paper outlines effective pedagogical methods—such as training sessions, case studies, peer-to-peer learning, role-playing, and reflective practices—that foster the development of emotional intelligence and empathy during vocational and practical training. The findings highlight the importance of integrating socio-emotional skills into vocational education to strengthen teamwork, social responsibility, and sustainable development in the construction sector, aligning with the principles of Industry 5.0.
