Abstract

Modernization of modern education, in particular its primary level, involves the development of educational kits for working with schoolchildren. Such a need has arisen very acutely for teachers who work with children with special educational, in particular speech, needs. At the request of teachers, we have developed a scientifically sound and practically oriented educational kit, which consists of the correctional and developmental program "Programs for correctional and developmental work "Developmental correction for grades 1-4 of special secondary education institutions for people with severe speech disorders", the textbook "Overcoming difficulties in the cognitive development of children with special speech needs" and the methodological manual "Methodological guidelines for using the textbook "Overcoming difficulties in the cognitive development of children with special speech needs" (Ribtsun, 2025). One of the most important areas of correctional and developmental work is cognitive and speech, which ensures the simultaneous harmonious development of all higher mental functions: perception, attention, memory, thinking, speech. That is why we have briefly described the implementation of the components of this area in the author's textbook.
