Abstract

The article updates the problem of forming social competence of gymnasium students in the realities of the New Ukrainian School. Emphasis is placed on the importance of preparing modern school curriculum and educational and methodological support in the context of the requirements of the new State Standard of Basic Secondary Education. The competence potential of the current model curricula of the integrated course of literature (Ukrainian and foreign) for gymnasium students, developed by the author team of the Institute of Pedagogy of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, is revealed.
