Abstract
The report presents innovative practices in the development of teacher education in Ukraine, implemented by researchers at the Department of Content and Technologies of Pedagogical Education of the Ivan Zyazyun Institute of Pedagogical Education and Adult Education of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine in 2022-2026, amid the deep transformation caused by the simultaneous influence of russia's full-scale aggression against Ukraine and European integration processes. The innovative practices are characterised across the following areas: improving the content and organisational principles of practical training for future teachers at various levels of higher education; updating the content of psychological and pedagogical training for future teachers in the context of competence-based learning; establishing educational and scientific partnerships with educational institutions, the State Quality Service of Education of Ukraine, its regional departments, and centres for the professional development of educational workers; educational and outreach activities in cooperation with scientific institutions of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, public organisations, and foreign institutions, aimed at promoting the Ukrainian-centric paradigm in teacher education; strengthening international cooperation; and embedding the principles of academic integrity, publication ethics, and open science within the educational and scientific domain. The prospects for the development of innovative practices are identified as: revitalising the national and cultural component of modern teacher training, taking into account war-related challenges; and updating the content of teacher education to train a new generation of teachers capable of acting in times of uncertainty and crisis (participation in updating educational programmes on the basis of partnership; integrating digital, media and civic competences; developing interdisciplinary programmes; ensuring a practical focus in teacher training and professional development, as well as the pragmatic nature of pedagogical practice through educational partnerships with educational institutions; refining tools for the effective organisation of distance and blended learning; and leveraging artificial intelligence and educational technologies).
