Abstract

The thesis examines the issue of developing students’ STEM competencies through learning 3D modeling in the context of modern education. The relevance of STEM competency development as an essential component of preparing students for activity in a technology-oriented society is substantiated. The role of 3D modeling as an effective means of integrating scientific, technological, engineering, and mathematical knowledge into practical activities is determined. The possibilities of the project-based approach for fostering spatial thinking, creativity, engineering skills, and the ability to solve practice-oriented problems are analyzed. A system of educational tasks aimed at the gradual development of 3D modeling skills and their application in the creation of students’ own projects is presented. It is demonstrated that the implementation of practical projects contributes to the development of all STEM competency components, enhances students’ learning motivation, and promotes the acquisition of experience in applying knowledge to real-life situations.
