Abstract

The chapter to the monograph at the paradigm level highlights and justifies transformational changes in the development of education for children with special needs, summarizes state educational policy strategies and the corresponding tactical shifts in this educational field in the era of independence. Reform processes in school education are shown, the importance of philosophy for the strategic provision of successful renewal of education for children with special needs is outlined. The materials of the monograph are intended for use in the lecturing activities of teachers of higher education institutions (HEIs) and teachers of postgraduate pedagogical education institutes (IPPE) of Ukraine, for updating the content of educational and educational-scientific programs in HEIs and IPPE of Ukraine, as well as in research by scientists, graduate students, future teachers, and practicing educators.
