Abstract
Modern social challenges in Ukraine, caused by security instability, the consequences of military actions and permanent stress, significantly transform the conditions of socialization and psycho-emotional development of a growing personality. Children with special educational needs (SEN) are the most sensitive and psychologically vulnerable category in crisis conditions. Barriers in the sphere of social communication, cognitive activity and sensory perception, which accompany various forms of dysontogenesis, complicate the processes of adequate cognitive processing of environmental stress factors. As a result, destabilization of the child's emotional sphere occurs, which manifests itself in the form of chronic anxiety, fears of a deprivation nature and loss of a sense of basic security. In this context, there is an urgent need to shift the focus from exclusively correctional and developmental goals to technologies for forming personal resilience, resourcefulness, and preserving the mental health of a child with SEN by means of comprehensive social and psychological assistance.
