Abstract
The article examines the educational goals of vocational and practical training of Ukraine’s workforce in the context of global challenges and sustainable development. The author analyzes the outcomes of the 2026 World Economic Forum, highlighting the risks of geo-economic confrontation and the need for strategic autonomy of intermediate powers. Special attention is given to integrating sustainable development principles into vocational education and to the formation of general, socio-emotional, professional, and strategic competencies of future specialists. The paper outlines effective forms and methods of training (dual education, project-based learning, case method, STEM/STEAM approaches, service-learning) that foster innovative thinking, ecological culture, and civic engagement. Vocational and practical training is emphasized as a key factor for Ukraine’s modernization and for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals by 2030.
