Abstract
This paper explores the theoretical and methodological foundations of psychological and pedagogical support for elementary school students with visual impairments from the perspective of a synergistic approach. The paper justifies the relevance of considering psychological and pedagogical support as an integrative technology aimed at activating the child’s internal personal resources and supporting the processes of self-development, self-organization, and social adaptation. The article highlights the peculiarities of the personal development of children with visual impairments in conditions of sensory, social, and emotional deprivation, and identifies the role of external and internal resources in ensuring their psychological well-being. The main components of psychological and pedagogical support are outlined, including pedagogical support and psychological assistance for the child, their family, and educational professionals. The importance of normalizing relationships within the “family–child–school” system and creating conditions for the formation of an active, subject-oriented stance among younger schoolchildren with visual impairments is emphasized.
