Abstract

The article analyzes the findings of a study on the Preference for Consistency (PFC) among academic staff in the context of adherence to netiquette norms. It was revealed that a high level of cognitive consistency, combined with the respondents' extensive digital experience (over 10–15 years), fosters the stability of ethical standards, yet simultaneously poses risks of communicative rigidity.
