Abstract

The publication considers inclusive education of children with special needs as a significant step towards the creation of a unified educational system. Attention is drawn to the fact that so far in this process the interests of this category of children are mainly defended. Meanwhile, a unified educational system is needed to solve the essential task of general secondary education - ensuring the successful learning of all its students. The article emphasizes the still unresolved problem of unsuccessful learning of a significant part of general secondary education students and its causes, the origins of which lie in the separate functioning of two educational systems: mass general secondary education and special. The shortcomings of today's inclusive education and the possibilities of overcoming them in a unified educational system are shown by implementing a model of personally oriented educational integration with a system of differentiated classes for children with different abilities in general secondary education institutions, proposed by domestic authors.
