Abstract
This article analyzes the monitoring of FAIR compliance for a research institution’s web resources: from data to management decisions. Thanks to its event-based data model, the Google Analytics 4 platform serves as an effective monitoring tool and a foundation for decision-support systems aimed at optimizing web resources and improving their FAIR compliance. Unlike traditional web analytics, which focused on sessions (visits) and provided only a quantitative picture, Google Analytics 4 is event-driven, allowing for the assessment of the quality of interaction with scientific content according to four principles: Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable. Thus, using Google Analytics 4 allows a research institution to move beyond passive data collection. It is a tool for objectively monitoring the implementation of open science principles. The implementation of FAIR-compliance analysis methods based on web analytics provides an evidence base for making management decisions aimed at increasing the visibility and impact of domestic scientific research worldwide.
