Abstract

The article highlights the activities of the Pedagogical Museum of Ukraine within the framework of the Year of Sofia Rusova, proclaimed in 2026 by the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine to mark the 170th anniversary of the birth of the prominent Ukrainian educator, public figure, and theorist of preschool education. The main directions of the museum’s work aimed at actualizing Sofia Rusova’s pedagogical heritage in the contemporary educational and scholarly space are analyzed. The paper examines the webinar “Ukrainian Pedagogy through Personalities: Sofia Rusova (1856–1940),” the museum’s participation in media projects, the presentation of the scholarly publication Publications of Sofia Rusova in the Journal ‘Vilna Ukrainska Shkola’ (1917–1920), as well as the implementation of the long-term digital project “Sofia Rusova Online.” Particular emphasis is placed on the role of the museum as an institution combining scholarly, educational, commemorative, and digital activities. It is concluded that the experience of the Pedagogical Museum of Ukraine demonstrates the effectiveness of modern formats for representing historical and pedagogical heritage and integrating it into contemporary public discourse.
