Abstract

The article analyzes the dynamics of the labor market regarding the number of current vacancies for positions of teachers in educational institutions (vocational (vocational-technical), professional pre-higher education, higher education, training centers). The dynamics of both current vacancies for positions of teachers in educational institutions and potential positions that are not yet vacant, but may become vacant, are analyzed. The analysis was carried out in accordance with the data of the Unified Register of Vacancies of the State Employment Service, as well as according to the number of potential positions of teachers according to the data of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. It was found that the total number of current vacancies for teachers in the specified educational institutions is over 1.0 thousand, and potential ones are much more (over 140 thousand). The number of vacancies, the level of average wages, the most popular positions and the list of requirements that are currently imposed on teachers in educational institutions compared to 2022 are analyzed. The labor market analysis showed that there are vacancies in the education sector, employers need specialists in the specialty A1 "Educational Sciences", however, there is a qualification gap between business and education that needs to be overcome. Salaries in the education sector are below average, which causes the outflow of young people to other areas of social and professional activity, but the stability of salaries and their prospective increase have positive aspects. The labor market analysis of the number of current vacancies for the positions of teachers in institutions of vocational (vocational and technical), professional pre-higher and higher education, as well as training centers of various forms of ownership indicates their small number (over 1 thousand), but the labor market analysis also provides for the analysis of potential positions that are not yet vacant, but may become so. For this purpose, the number of teachers in state educational institutions, which is over 140 thousand, was analyzed, therefore there is a need for their training in higher education institutions.
