Abstract

The abstracts contain a brief overview of the research on the problem of distinguishing competencies in teaching the Ukrainian language to primary school students. The importance of taking into account the achievements of domestic scientists in the methodology of teaching the Ukrainian language, both native and state, is emphasized. Attention is paid to the essence of the concept of "competence", communicative, lexical, textual and text-forming competence are briefly described. Prospects for further research are outlined.
