Abstract

The scientific and methodological heritage of H. P. Bevz and V. H. Bevz is analyzed through the prism of the competency-based approach. Their contribution to the development of the applied orientation of mathematical modeling, interdisciplinary links, humanization of education, and the historical and cultural context of school mathematics is highlighted. It is demonstrated that the methodological models developed by the authors contributed to the formation of students' key competencies as set forth in the New Ukrainian School (NUS).
