Abstract

The article examines the democratization of the New Ukrainian School as a strategic direction for harmonizing Ukraine’s educational policy with the European Educational Space. It emphasizes the importance of democratic values and principles—freedom, equality, inclusiveness, tolerance, and responsibility—for shaping a learner-centered educational environment. The analysis highlights the main dimensions of democratization: state policy, school governance, educational environment, and personal development of learners. Strategic tasks are outlined, including strengthening school autonomy, integrating democratic principles, enhancing international cooperation, and fostering key competencies.
