Abstract
The theses consider interactive strategies of professional training as a means of developing independence among students of philological specialties. Their use contributes to activating students’ cognitive activity, developing reflective skills, increasing learning motivation, and improving communicative competence. Examples of such learning strategies as brainstorming, language clubs, and debates are presented. It is emphasized that interactive learning strategies create favorable conditions for the development of students’ independence and their active participation in the educational process.
